Saved from possible fraud

I received a Discover Notice late Saturday night and it indicated that there may be fraud on my account. I was going to call them the next day however, I received a call from LifeLock first. They asked if I used this particular Cell Phone company and I seriously never heard of that company. I told them the company I use now, is the same as I have used for at least 15 or more years. I was advised that someone had possible used my personal information. However, I didn't know for what the problem was at that time. I was informed that they would do an investigation and would get back to me in 10-14 days. Today I received another call from LifeLock telling they had found out the problem. Obviously someone used my name accept changing the first letter of my name that would make it a male. My address, social security, and other information about me was used. However, the person had ordered something from T-Mobile to be sent to another state. The license this person used that was suppose to be mine was questionable by T-Mobile and the person was told that the equipment ordered was a back order and was never sent out. Thank goodness for the person who questioned the information given to them for the purchase. They notified my credit card company and LifeLock received the information and contacted me immediately. All the people I spoke to at LifeLock were excellent. They took the bull by the horns and handled every thing. I can only say KUDO's to all of the personnel of LifeLock.
