Identity Theft and LifeLock Never Knew

I just got a cheery message from LifeLock about how safe they have kept my identity. Evidently, they are completely unaware that my main credit card's information was stolen, and I had over $4,000 worth of charges (mainly $19.99 to GSN Games) made in a 2-1/2 week period in October. The card has since been de-activated. What's the point of LifeLock if they aren't even aware of this?
